A trader from England, not a guru.
I'm Arlo. I trade gold from here in England, and for the first stretch of my trading life I did it the way most people do. Too many markets, too many indicators, in everything and sure of nothing. It cost me money, and it cost me something worth more than money, which was my confidence.
What turned it around wasn't a secret and it wasn't a mentor. It was stripping everything back to one market and learning to sit still. These days my charts are nearly empty and most sessions I take nothing at all. My trading got calmer, and it got better, in that order.

What is XAUUSD?
XAUUSD is the symbol for the gold price quoted in US dollars, and it's the chart most gold traders trade. When people talk about trading gold online, this pair is usually the one they mean.
When do you trade gold?
Mostly the London session, 8am to 1pm UK time, with some New York afternoons. Plenty of days nothing clean appears and I sit out, and I say so in the channel.
Will following the channel make me money?
I have no idea, and nobody who promises otherwise deserves your trust. Most retail traders lose money. What I can do is show my work honestly so you can judge it for yourself.
